Healthy, natural dentition has a far reaching effect on your whole body health. It may sound odd, but our goal is to work with our patients to help prevent the need for ANY restorative dental work. Our hygienist works with patients to teach them the best techniques of self care, to maintain their own oral health. Recent studies have shown that inflammation of the gum tissues "Periodontal Disease", creates a constant drain on the body's system, and is particularly hard on the heart.

Preservation:

When the need arises for more extensive intervention the primary goal is to preserve your natural dentition. Teeth are primary in the ability to eat and communicate. Early preservation techniques will help keep your dentition intact. Additionally, healthy teeth maintain the long term bone structure of the jaw and face. In the "old days" when a person aged, and started having a few tooth aches, the answer was dentures. In this day and age we work VERY hard to prevent that outcome.

Restoration:

In the event that you are losing, or have already lost, some of your natural dentition there are many new options available to restore your oral health. Although a great smile is a beautiful thing to behold, it's also healthy for your whole body. Being able to eat and communicate effectively, while feeling good about yourself and your appearance, enhances your long term health.
