Root canal therapies and surgeries:
Dr. Dawson has participated in 100's of hours in postgraduate education to stay current on techniques and materials related to Root Canal Therapies.
While some dentists routinely refer out all Root Canals, all but a few of Dr. Dawson's patients are able to stay right here in town for their treatment.
Placement & Restoration of Implants:
Implants, often referred to as "Root Replacement Therapy" is offering some exciting new alternatives in dentistry.
These can take the place of bridges or partial dentures and even full dentures in some cases.
One of the great things about Implants is that they give the bone "something to do" helping to prevent further bone loss after a tooth is gone.
Night Splints:
While the need for Night Splints is often a symptom of other underlying dental health issues, Dr. Dawson can provide this service to help elevate the damage caused by chronic "grinding" of the teeth at night.

We use voice activated, computer generated, understandable charts to identify a patients existing plaque levels, gum attachment depths, and current level of gum tissue health.
We thoroughly explain the importance of each of these measurements.
Through this charting and basic home care instruction, we feel confident that our patients will see what it takes for THEM to keep their own mouth healthy, and how a healthy mouth helps their OVERALL WELL BEING.
Our hygienist is licensed by the State of Michigan to administer LOCAL ANESTHESIA to patients who may need it.
We see PERIODONTAL patients on 3-4 month recalls when appropriate.
- We offer non-surgical periodontal root planing and scaling (RPS), with follow up visits, to ensure the patient is equipped with the knowledge and tools for keeping a healthy mouth.
Many patients are astounded to learn that research has shown a correlation between periodontal (gum) disease, heart disease and diabetes.
Our office offers FLUORIDE TREATMENTS to children and adults when nessasary.
Our office takes updated radiographic x-rays once a year to check for cavities in-between the teeth, to check the bone level surrounding each tooth, and to evaluate the root of the teeth for any hidden infections.
Additionally, we access the position of wisdom teeth, any unerupted teeth, and evaluate the TMJ (temporal mandibular joint).
Children are evaluated for the need of SEALANTS at routine visits.
